Whether you’re a fledgling business bird or already soaring, sooner or later, as a heart-led service provider, you will need to communicate your ‘Why’ in your marketing.
But first, you must be clear about your ‘Why’ in your life!
And a lot of heart-centred fem-preneurs ask:
Is my ‘Why’ my vision? My mission? My story? My values?
In short, your ‘Why’ is all those, but it is even more. It is crucial to your ability to grow into the highest bad-ass self, with all the yummy things that bad-ass self wants to experience.
Your ‘Why’ is your unique selling point.
Your ‘Why’ connects you to your soul clients.
Your ‘Why’ is the origin of your brand brilliance.
Your ‘Why’ is the inspiration for all of your content creation.
Your ‘Why’ is the light which will attract clients, collaborators and opportunities.
Your ‘Why’ will keep your body fit and your mind under control.
Your ‘Why’ is your zone of genius.
Your ‘Why’ is your superpower.
Your ‘Why’ lights up your social media presence (or not!)
Your ‘Why’ is how you’ll get famous if you want to.
Your ‘Why’ is the reason you’ll stay sane when stuff happens.
Your ‘Why’ is the reason you keep going when you feel like shit
Your ‘Why’ is the reason you will eventually smash your dreams out of the ballpark because you are attached at the hip (to your dreams and your ‘why’!)
That’s because your dreams are born from your ‘Why’.
It’s been there with you long before you ever undertook the crazy journey that is entrepreneurship! It’s been there since nappies. And even when you were a twinkle in your Mama’s eyes.
And it will be there when, in your absence, they are talking about the legacy you left.
And with all those vital reasons to lead with your ‘Why’, here is the most important.
Because living FROM your ‘Why’ is the core of your vibrational attraction point. Your energy, Your flow. Your quantum success set-point.
Your ‘Why’ is the first and fastest way to unleash all of your potential and become your issima self, a living legend of your hero’s story.
Your ‘Why’ should be able to carry out all of the above, and you should be able to say it in a single paragraph. It’s not like a crusty, cringy elevator pitch. But like a sublime personal manifesto which carries all the power that gold old law of attraction can unleash for you.
Here’s the thing: the law of attraction doesn’t know the difference between you and your business! Your vocational ‘Why’ and your personal ‘Why’ are soul-mates. You are WHO you ARE.
And you ARE your ‘Why’ before you get into action! Yep, your ‘Why’ is your essence in service to a cause. I would guess, a big, humungous cause you believe in, which starts in your business! Am I right?
You need to know who you are at a soul level to find your unique ‘Why’.
And once you line up your mind and habits with your soul blueprint, you can engineer your own biology of manifestation at will. Ka-ching.
WHY is a big freaking deal.
Like many entrepreneurs, there comes a time (or 12) when you ask yourself if you are really cut out for this crazy, erratic lifestyle.
Maybe trends in your niche have undergone yet another shift. Social media has likely re-invented itself for the umpteenth time. Sales may not be so hot and steady. Maybe you’re overwhelmed, out of shape, or just bored. Your brand may not serve you anymore because it doesn’t represent who you are with all your unique personality and foibles!
Now, I expect you’ve never thought about that before. But consider something which could mean you were taking your biz to the next level this year: smart business owners make sure that their core values – their ‘Why’ is entirely in alignment with their ‘what’ (the product or service) and last, not least – the ‘how’ (the environment of sales).
We choose our services and brands depending on our skill sets and training. We focus on a tangible or digital product- dependent on our passion, values, and market opportunities (our big ‘why’).
But what if there was another major factor in determining our success, the business model or way of selling? What if tweaking our ‘How’ could massively increase our sense of joy, excitement, adventure, satisfaction and results?
Our ‘How’, the way we function in our marketplace, has a potent effect on our energy levels, even determining our success to some extent. From an energetic point of view, maintaining a high success vibe is easy when working in conditions that thrill us, meaning when we are in our element. Does that make sense? We may be super proud of our product, but the day’s schedule does not thrill us to the point when we can’t stop!
What’s more, entrepreneurship has become a whole lifestyle now! We no longer live in a biz and home separate environment. We want our lives to align with who we are and how we show up.
Would you love what you do if your ‘How’ was rockingly exciting?
Like so many of us, if our business is primarily online, we put up with it because they think we have to. But the result will undoubtedly be a feeling of being ‘not aligned’ with our business because the ‘How we sell’ environment doesn’t suit our personality or values. Admittedly, working out in the morning will help assuage the frustration, but what if there were a more inspiring solution?
Let’s look at other examples of how we may not fulfil our potential because our ‘How’ doesn’t match our ‘Why’. Take:
Introverts with a great humanity-impacting message who aren’t suited to host conferences or public speaking. They are the ones who struggle to master public speaking skills.
Intellectuals with incredible ideas often get caught up in their heads and will have difficulty getting anything productive done!
High-energy individuals (like myself) certainly won’t stand projects that take endless, quiet, consistent, solitary application. I found out this to my health detriment!
Creative types go nuts when unexciting, repetitive routines are necessary every day.
Very physical people will do anything to avoid sitting down. (That would be me again).
Spiritual types often have an aversion to technology and contemporary marketing techniques.
(I can see lots of heads nodding :-).
Strong-minded, goal-driven Alpha types will not support any fuzz, fluff and lack of efficiency from themselves or their team. They need ‘hows’ that are well-defined, measurable and accounted for.
Take something like coaching – a phenomenal service industry paradigm that accounts for a massive proportion of online business.
So much coaching occurs virtually in a static environment to the detriment of great coaches with other complementary skills. Every coach in a specific field has a unique personality and temperament. And maybe it is this uniqueness that might just set your brand apart from the masses!
So maybe it’s time to re-invent your perfect ‘How’ to be in alignment with your ‘Why’ so that you feel that your vibe is truly the one that attracts your ideal tribe!

founding global, pro-earth movements,
through entertainment,
inventing something through crowdfunding,
self-publishing,
modelling for any style, age and interest,
through musical studio or home recordings
Here is the key: you will be most aligned with your big ‘Why’ when it engages your zone of genius (yes, we all have one!), and it makes you deliriously happy and excited!
NOW is the time to get your ‘How’s, What’s and ‘Why’s lined up. Doing so will give you insights into the perfect business model for YOU! Now is the time to tweak your biz lifestyle to one that thrills and inspires you daily!
If you are in the high vibes that come from having this much fulfilment every day, then by all that is biological and cosmic, you will turn into a money-magnetic marvel!
You will attract the perfect clients, opportunities, income and life balance (not to mention relationships!) It is universal law!
So take this as a message, a sign that now is the perfect time to declare that you CAN have it all: business, income, well-being, love, adventure and fun, and making an impact! You can create your own Iconic Life – it awaits you!

When I realised, my higher self has been here all along even from the age of 7/8 (Thank you for showing me this Jenni) it changed my the way I look at my ‘how’. Everything you have written here in this article Jenni not only spoke to me, but sang beautiful harmonies. This is something I will come back to again and again when mybreasonable head starts trying to rule my unreasonable heart. When the self doubt tries to take away my passion and my mission. I pledge that in 2024 and actually in the last few weeks of 2023 I will be unreasonable in the areas of my life that are often my nemesis. This girl has a Why that will Thrive on unreasonable, scares the sh** out of me for sure. But it is what will be the How that makes my Why happen.
