Did you ever think it would be possible to put the words ‘wholesome’ and ‘client attraction’ in the same sentence? When I started online in 2011, it felt anything but wholesome, but things have changed 180 degrees since then.

In this article, we will explore why Organic Marketing and Branding are so good for heart, soul-led and conscious fempreneurs.

Like many of us, you may have toyed with the idea of Facebook or other paid ads on platforms, or maybe you use them already. They works for many businesses, but numerous top experts confirm it isn’t necessary for a solo entrepreneur (especially those starting out) when your client flow system is organic, wholesome and effective! 

When I talk about ‘client flow system’ or customer journey, the popular name is a ‘funnel’…I find being in a funnel anything but wholesome …you?

Same with the word ‘tripwire’ – the term for an upsell proposition thrust at you on the checkout page. That never feels wholesome to me unless it’s done very intelligently. Being told my life is going to be screwed if I don’t take this offer up (tripwire) and I’ll never see the page again (BS!); that’s the kind of marketing that is the opposite of organic to me.

Does it work? Oh, heck yes! But for me, it’s always tinged with undervaluing the original offer (why did you say Offer A was so great when it can’t work without Offer B?) and a feeling of pressure – not what I want MY clients to go through!

First, I liken Personal Branding to nutrition and cooking (my big passion!)

Nutrition is there to keep us alive and healthy – Branding is the same for your business! Wholesome nutrition optimises our chance of longevity. It’s an art, a science and a sensual delight.

Branding has the same potency for your biz, complete with being full of vitamins (all the moving parts that make up your systems and sales).

Whereby marketing can be something very sterile and cold, organic Branding and marketing nurtures the trend for emotional connection between client and expert – a connection that goes beyond mere products or services and into the realm of feelings, values and shared experiences. 

  1. The Human Dimension. 

Building an organic brand that resonates with your ideal audience means creating a distinctive voice that feels like a friend speaking directly to you, a process known as ‘brand anthropomorphism’. 

By infusing your personal Branding with human traits and emotions, you transform it from a mere ‘tool’ into a living, breathing entity that interacts, evolves and grows dynamically. This approach invites and nurtures deeper connections and turns first-time customers into loyal advocates of your work. 

2. The power of emotion: From a happy client to a repeat client.

 We all know how important it is to cultivate our know-like-trust reputation. Research has shown that emotional constructs can leverage communication that connects on an emotional level – something heart-led business owners do naturally. Shared values are key here – and why it is vital for your brand persona and image to be distinct to broadcast energetically to those who share your values!

3. Continuous nurturing: 

A brand relationship is not a one-off event; it’s an ongoing dialogue that needs to be nurtured. Personal Branding is no longer a set of stereotype characteristics and homogenous communication. Whereas ‘Branding’ per se can be merely a two dimensional viual identity, a Personal Brand is a living and breathing organism – organic and wholesome!

We know how much stories and sharing our journeys are generally endearing for a fempreneur. Engagement strategies such as regularly sharing insights and experiences help maintain interest and enthusiasm. Honesty and even vulnerability are magnetic. People need to relate to you on a human level and see themselves in you. That is what we’re doing all the time, positioning ourselves in the universe and the marketplace by where we fit with our tribe and the outside world.

 Connecting with customers on an emotional level can turn a simple product into a lifestyle or movement, making customers feel part of something bigger than themselves, something so many change-makers are passionate about!

4. Brand Vitality: Keep it fresh and exciting.

Like on fresh vegetable counters, the produce eventually withers and shrivels; even well-established brands must evolve to remain competitive in an ever-changing marketplace. 

For solo-preneurs, it doesn’t mean re-inventing yourself every five minutes but sharing value and content that is relevant in ways that are also spicey, fresh and exciting. 

Have a podcast? Why not add video to it?

Have a really great course? Turn part of it into a book. 

Broaden your range of connections and potential partners to embrace leaders in niches quite different from yours to add extra ‘content vitamin’ value to your email list.

Swap out your social media posts often and try regularly changing themes with the seasons.

Show up in all facets of your being and all facets of your image (the ones you’re happy with anyway!)

  1. Authenticity. What does this look like aesthetically in your brand image?

Did you ever pick up some broccoli or tomatoes at an organic farmers market that were nobbly, a bit crusty or misshapen and covered in soil? But you love them because they look real! And, of course, the flavour is incomparable. They are definitely wholesome!

Then think of the average supermarket spread of treated vegetables that are uber-uniform in size and shape and way too perfect to be full of any goodness! Well, it’s the same with your aesthetics (brand image and energy). Rather than go with trendy colours or try to emulate the vibe of Titans, Carrie Green or Amy Porterfield, your Organic Personal Brand should look, feel, and speak like the most authentic you. It should ooze with the goodness of all the gems of wisdom you share with the world and who you truly are. 

Same with your business model. It doesn’t have to follow the same template or systems as anyone else – it should be 100 per cent organically able to light you up and feel like your home so you have a context you’re proud of to share your marvellous work with the world. It must be as beautiful and high-vibrational as an exquisite organic salad plate or Bhudda bowl. It must inform the consumers that it is full of wisdom vitamins and transformational ingredients that will nourish them! 

Never underestimate the power of aesthetics. The power of colour on the psyche is well documented, but beauty is not just about colour but great design. And for me, high-vibrational design is what I do for my VIP clients. Gorgeous design follows patterns in sacred geometry and nature’s harmony. Both of these ‘speak’ to us through energy and the heart. I have also found that elements of nature and sacred geometry in graphics and design speak directly to fempreneurs whose topic covers lifestyle, spirituality, well-being and transformation. You can’t get more organic than that!

Think of Organic Branding and Marketing like your garden.

Constant refreshing and innovation aren’t just trendy buzzwords; they are essential strategies to ensure you nurture your existing customer base while attracting new audiences. 

Keeping the brand full of vitality in a complex and ever-changing business landscape requires a relentless commitment to relevance, creativity and responsiveness. Like growing organic food, it takes tilling the soil and sowing many seeds with no toxic stuff sprayed on them. 

Time is a massive factor in organic marketing. Compare the time it would take you to get on a discovery call with a few prospects (and the time it took to get them) compared to the potential number of eyes that skim over your Facebook ad post. 

Organic Personal Branding is not something you do once and then tick off the to-do list. Even Titans need a fresh look to a new offer! You may have a basic brand palette of colours. Still, you can be super creative about updating your content to appeal to loyal customers. 

Organic Personal Branding forges and nurtures genuine, heartfelt connections with your soul tribe. In a world full of noise, this approach provides a warm, authentic exchange that resonates with the right people, building trust, engagement and loyalty, one emotion at a time. It takes time, and it’s also truly good for the planet!
